Clementine J. Morris, age 61, of Linwood Court, Granger, IN, died
unexpectedly of natural causes, on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Memorial
Hospital, South Bend. Mrs. Morris was born on July 7, 1945 in Chicago to
Louise C., nee Cooper, and Curtis C. Gilmore Sr. She has lived in the
Michiana area since 1986, coming from Chicago. On June 18, 1967 in
Chicago, she married Booker T. Morris, M.D., who survives. In 1994 she
left retirement to help her husband in his practice and became his
office manager. Clementine is survived by her husband, Booker; their
children, Kimberly L. (Ronald) Henderson of Detroit, MI, Kevin L.
(Tonya) Morris of Flossmoor, IL, Kyra L. Morris and Kenneth L. Morris of
Granger, IN; her grandchildren, JeLisa L., Alexander J. and Christian R.
Morris. She is also survived by brothers, Coleman (Youvonne) Robinson of
Country Club Hills, IL, Charles (Roberta), Cary (Frances), Craig (Judy)
and Chester Gilmore, all of Chicago. Several nieces and nephews are also
surviving. Her oldest brother, Curtis Gilmore II preceded her in death.
Funeral Services for Clementine J. Morris will be at 12 noon Saturday,
April 14, 2007 at Gatling's Chapel, Inc. in Chicago, with
visitation one hour prior to the Services. A Memorial Service will be
held on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at 4 p.m. at Michiana Christian Embassy
in Niles, with Rev. Jeffrey L. Whittaker, Rev. Bryant L. Bacon and
Pastor C.L. Whitt, M.D. officiating. The family will receive friends and
relatives for one hour prior to Services at the church. Assembly for the
Committal Services will take place at 8:30 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2007
at Gatling's Chapel, for the procession to Lincoln Cemetery in Blue
Island, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of
Clementine J. Morris may be made to Butler University Black Alumni
Association Scholarship Fund, 4600 Sunset Avenue, Indianapolis, IN
46208. Arrangements were made by the Halbritter Funeral Home.
