Suzanne Allswang Dear Traveler: Time
seems to be accelerating every year‑‑never enough to
do everything nor to travel to all the magnificent places At the end of the year, I always reflect back on my personal travels. For instance, I attended a surprise birthday party in Cabo San Lucas. I arranged flights, hotel rooms and a dinner, and was able to obtain discounts for group travel. Being so close to Los Angeles, Cabo is a great destination for a long week‑end. In May I returned to Holland, where my family and I had lived for a year a while back; then went on to Berlin (see me with “Berlin bear”), Dresden and Weimar. All of these are wonderful destinations, for art, culture, old and new architecture and sites, and easy places to get to and see. travelstore always has numerous SPECIALS for business and vacation travel. Specifics change all the time, so contact me for the latest opportunities. For cruise lovers or those wishing to cruise for the first timeCall the lines currently have specials for this year, and I will steer you to those fitting your needs (e.g., the Orient Line=s 11-day cruise/tour in the Western Mediterranean for August 20: starting with one night hotel in Barcelona and ending with two nights hotel in Athens, at a bargain price starting from $1625, with round-trip air of $399 from LAX). This company has other good itineraries also available. There are good deals on small ship cruises, also (I am a Cruise West ASmall Ship Expert@ and get group discounts), for example to Alaska, Costa Rica, and U.S. rivers (including the California wine country). Windstar sailing ships also have special promotionsCsome with free air from Los Angeles. And check out the wonderful European river cruises that offer the pleasures of a comfortable small ship with the ability to wander the streets of charming cities and towns. For skiers there is a super offer at the Club Med in Colorado--all‑inclusive with meals, beer and wine at lunch and dinner, lift tickets and lessons, at only $129 per night per person, plus airfare. And for beach lovers we have big discounts in Florida, the Caribbean, and Mexico. We have packages for women only, young adults, destinations with cooking classes or wine tastings, hiking or biking. And more and more clients are going independent, with fly-and-drive, or with drivers and guidesBall over the world. Don=t forget that travelstore gets special hotel rates and airfares, and that we can also negotiate them for you. I can set up meetings, reunions, wedding packages, school trips, or just a quick getaway at places like the beautiful Hotel Ceiba & Spa at the new Ain destination,@ the Riviera Maya; or the picturesque Ritz Carlton at Half Moon Bay. I would love to hear about your discoveries or tips‑--a favorite city to visit? or hotel to stay in? or restaurant or tourist site? E‑mail or fax me, or write or call.
Don't forget this year's
