May, 2010 - I attended The West Coast Alumni Group - Hyde Park
High School All Year Reunion in LA on May 2. It was great to see my
'63 classmates, Joel Neuberg, Pam Haas Neuberg, Amrita Salm, and Barbara
Tsukamoto Anderson, and '62 friend Carlo Jones. I had the pleasure of
meeting Peg Stavish Davis and Nina "Judy" Shire Ragle also from the class of
1962 along with many other HP alums. Other than Fred '26 the oldest
attendees were Henry Bartenstein '38, Joe Gutstadt '40, Eileen Berg Siedman and Peter Ulrich from the class of '41
and Edythe Anderhous Heda '42, the youngest were Linda Fields and
Patricia Dawson from the class of 1973.
Having come the furthest (from Miami), I wish more of the California
contingency of our class had been able to attend. Fred Hofeld '26 ran
the show as he has every five years for the last 35 years. He is
remarkably strong, clear, eloquent, and is a very young 102! He has
turned over the reins and hopefully the tradition will continue. I

The process of posting them with Picasa has made the job of including photos
much easier for me, and that is how I will do it in the future. Marc
Bazell has sent me several historical photos of Chicago and some of HPHS
with Amelia Earhart. I have posted these in a separate album and will
put most new miscellaneous photos there:
